EMPORIA - The Ichabods had a seven-game winning streak snapped at ninth-ranked Emporia State, losing 14-1 in the opener and then suffered an 8-0 no-hitter in the second game. Washburn, now 23-16 and 11-5 in the MIAA, will host Missouri Southern Friday in a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.

Sam Sissom singled to lead off the first game, stole second and then scored on an error for the only WU tally of the day. He was 2-for-4 in the game.

In the second game, Hornets pitcher Toro Trevino took a perfect game into the eighth inning. Tyler Blankenship's grounder to the ESU shortstop was misplayed and he became the only Ichabod to each safely. Trevino, who struck out 12 batters, finished the eighth and ninth innings in order for the no-no.
