BOLIVAR, Mo. - Jake Lenherr became Washburn's all-time leader in strikeouts with a 6-K effort at Southwest Baptist Saturday as the Ichabods swept the doubleheader and four-game series. Washburn won the first game 7-1 and took the second game 11-7. Winners of seven in a row, they are now 23-14 overall and 11-4 in the MIAA. The wins tied them with last year's regular season win total and passed last year's MIAA victory total of 10. They will play at league leader Emporia State Tuesday in a DH starting at 4 p.m.

Lenherr hurled six strikeouts in the opener and gave up one run in a two-hit complete game. He now has 193 career strikeouts, passing Mike Lineback's total set from 1982-85. Mark Stoltz and Michael Hammersmith each hit home runs in the first game and Sam Sissom was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.
