EL PASO, Texas -- Ichabod All-American Trey Lewis had three tackles
including a sack, two tackles for loss and a pass break up in the
Nation's 24-20 win over the Texas team in the first Texas vs the Nation
all-star game Friday night.

Lewis finished with three total tackles in the win.

Lewis had a pass break up on the Texas' team final drive with the Nation
team holding on to a 24-20 lead. His sack was on a third and 7 from the
Texas 7 forcing a punt return for the Nation team.

Lewis, who was named the Most Valuable Defensive Player in the MIAA, and received Little Associated Press All-American and AFCA All-American
honors, was one of three MIAA players to suit up for the Nation squad. Lewis was the first Ichabod since punter Eric Roth played in the Cactus Bowl in 2002 and only the sixth former Washburn player to take part in a postseason all-star game. He joins Colon McNeal (Cactus Bowl, 2001), Marc Nardella (Snow Bowl, 1999), Joe Busby (Snow Bowl, 1998) and Michael Dritlein (Snow Bowl 1995) on the postseason all-star game honor
roll.
