2007 Ichabod Football Schedule

The Ichabods have added another signee bringing the class of high school players who have signed a letter of intent to 22 as of Thursday morning.

Freddie D. Lavan, Jr.
Cornerback • 5-9 • 180 • Rosenhayn, N.J. • Delsea High School
Background: Earned first team all-league honors in 2005 and 2006 … named second team all-state running back … team on the state title … in track and field, won the 4x200 winter state championship … track team won state title in 2005 … at Cumberland Regional High School, he recorded 1,600 all-purpose yards as a freshman and finished as stat runner up in the 100m dash as a freshman.

Lloyd Bias

Background: Recorded 30 receptions for 396 yards and six touchdowns as a senior earning all-state honorable mention honors … also had 22 rushes for 189 yards and two touchdowns … named first team all-league and all-state in tack and field.
Personal: Born on Jan. 18, 1989 … son of Larry and Kathye Bias … anticipated major is business management.

John Blessington
Tight End • 6-4 • 231 • Auburn, Iowa • Southern Cal High School
Background: A two-time all-district first team selection at both tight end and defensive end … earned first team all-state defensive end honors … will play in the Iowa Shrine Bowl … named third team all-league in basketball and has recorded more than 1,000 points and holds the school record for rebounds.

Victor Butler

Background: A two-time all-league selection on both offense and defense … also a state qualifier in track in discus and shot put … an all-state pick as a defensive lineman as a junior … in track he was an all-state and all-Sunflower league … as a senior honorable mention all-state and all-league pick as a senior … will play in Kansas City Metro Classic.

Justin Cooper

Background: Rushed for 867 yards on 107 attempts averaging 8.1 yards per carry with nine touchdowns as a senior en route to first team all-league honors and second team all-state honors … also named team’s most valuable player … had eight receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown … as a junior he rushed for 673 yards and two touchdowns … as a senior on defense he recorded 66 tackles with 39 solo stops along with four sacks and one fumble recovery at outside linebacker.

Background: Played quarterback for the Cardinals where he rushed for 590 yards as a senior with nine touchdowns and passed for 493 yards and three scores … named honorable mention all-league quarterback and honorable mention all-area by the Independence Examiner … named first team all-league quarterback as a junior after passing for 1,065 yards and nine touchdowns while rushing for 830 yards and seven touchdowns … named team’s offensive MVP as a senior … a state track qualifier in the long jump, triple jump and discus.

Cameron Kasel

Background: Passed for 2,704 yards and 29 touchdowns and rushed for 13 touchdowns as a senior earning Topeka Capital Journal and Wichita Eagle Top 11 honors … named to Kansas Coaches Association Top 11 as well as first team all-state class 6A … a two-time all-city pick, two-time all-metro pick passing for more than 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns in his career … also named first team all-state in baseball twice … a three-time all-metro pick and a three-time all-league pick … named to the 2007 Kansas Shrine Bowl.
