The Washburn Ichabods fell 48-20 in their season finale to Southwest Baptist. The loss ends the Ichabods season with a 3-8 record and a 2-7 mark in the MIAA. Southwest Baptist finishes the season with a 6-5 mark and a 4-5 MIAA mark. It is the first winning season for the Bearcats since 1991.

The Bearcats got on the board early and often as they jumped out to a 42-0 lead on the Ichabods. It wasn't until the 7:52 mark of the third quarter the Ichabods would get on the scoreboard via a 35-yard touchdown reception from Tyler Schuerman to Colon McNeal. McNeal finished the day with two touchdown receptions in his final game as an Ichabod.

Darryl Humphrey led the Ichabods with 59 yards rushing. Schuerman passed for 126 yards with 10 completions and Dustin Hickel completed three passes and one touchdown.

McNeal finished with 98 yards receiving and two touchdowns with five receptions and fellow senior Chris Whittle had five catches for 53 yards.

Jason Ross led the Ichabod defense with seven tackles and Ryan Huske had three tackles for 10 yards in loss. Corey Crain, in his first start at cornerback had an interception, a pass break up and a tackle for loss.
