Mules score 26 unanswered second half points in 32-18 win over Ichabods

The Washburn Ichabods fell to 3-2 after a 32-18 loss to Central Missouri State at Moore Bowl Thursday night.

The Ichabods were outscored 26-0 and were held to only 81 yards and four first downs in the second half by the conference’s top-ranked defense.

Early on it was all Washburn. Cody Snyder caught two touchdown passes of 36 and 51 yards in the first 16 minutes to make it 12-0.

After Central closed the gap to 15-6, Washburn added its final points of the ballgame on Chad Todd’s 26-yard field goal with 29 seconds left in the half.

Snyder finished the game with six catches for 114 yards, while Brandon Rainer tallied 76 yards on 15 carries to lead the Washburn rushing attack.
