Galbraith named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

Washburn senior quarterback Barry Galbraith has been named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week. Galbraith threw for a career-high 342 yards in the Ichabods 52-18 win over Truman on Saturday. The win insured Washsburn's first winning season since 1988.

Galbraith was 15-of-22 for 342 yards with three touchdowns. Galbraith also rushed for 42 yards on 16 carries. Galbraith's 348 yards of total offense was 57 percent of the Ichabods' team total of 603 for the afternoon.

Galbraith has 2,293 yards of total offense this season and it is the second highest single-season total in Washburn history. He stands three yards behind current record-holder Barry Griffiths.

Galbraith is the second Ichabod to win an Player of the Week. Junior linebacker Corey Phipps won the award after Washburn's opening season win over Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
