Ichabod golfers finish 8th in California

TURLOCK, Calif. - The Washburn Ichabod golf team finished in a tie for eighth place at the Buzzini/Stanislaus Invitational. The Ichabods were led by freshman Matt Ewald, who shot a three-round total of 5-over par 226. Ewald finished in a tie for 19th overall. John Robbins finished in a tie for 35th with a 9-over 230. The Ichabods will compete next week in the MIAA Championship Tournament in Blue Springs, Mo. April 17-18. The Ichabods have 23 points overall, trailing Missouri Western who has 25 points. The Ichabods are looking to win their fourth straight MIAA championship.
