Ichabods continue hot streak, win 4th straight tournament at Pitt State

PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Washburn Ichabod golf team wrapped up the fall slate with a 23-stroke win over the field at Crestwood Country Club in Pittbsurg, Kan. The win was the fourth in a row for the Ichabods, who shot a team score of 12-under 564 for the 36-hole event.
As a team, the Ichabods were 10-under today as a team, 17 shots better than runner-up Missouri Western.
Matt Ewald won his second straight tournament, and third in the last four, carding a 8-under 136 following yesterday's first round 67 with a 69 today. The 8-under is the lowest score by an Ichabod golfer under head coach Doug Hamilton.
Ryan Deutsch finished with a 4-under 140 (70-67) placing him third. John Robbins placed fourth after signing for a 3-under 141 (72-69). Playing as an individual, Daniel Hersch finished in fifth with 1-under 143 (70-73).
Taylor Dunham was 4-over with a 148 (75-73), placing him in a tie for 12th and Sam Wempe finished in a tie for 16th going 5-over with a 149 (74-75).
Also playing as individuals were Dustin Yeager, who tied for 25th (7-over 151 - 79-72) and Spencer Hemmingway finished tied for 43rd (14-over 158 - 74-84)
