GOLF TEAM PLACES THIRD AT DISTRICT V INVITATIONAL

The Washburn Ichabod golf team finished third in the 18-team District
V Invitational at Owatonna Country Club in Owatonna, Minnesota on Friday
and Saturday.
The Ichabods opened the tournament with a 305
and seventh place on Friday, before turning in a solid second round
310 to total 615 and finish third for the second straight meet. Washburn
followed Texas Wesleyan (578) and Bemidji State (603) but topped six
MIAA teams in the tournament.
Leading the way for the Ichabods was Kyle Brandt
who totaled a 148 (71-77), which was good enough for a tie for sixth
place.
Weather permitting, the Ichabods will participate
in the Baker University Fall Classic Tuesday (Sept. 28). The event was
origionally scheduled to start this afternoon.
