finish 2nd at MIAA Championships, win league title by one point over
Missouri Southern

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Washburn Ichabods won their first MIAA Golf
Championship with a second place tie at the MIAA Championships at Alvamar
Country Club. The Ichabods were awarded with 13 points in the tie with
Central Missouri to tally 41.5 points for the season finishing ahead
of Missouri Southern, who won the tournament title who finished with
40.5 points.
The Ichabods shot a 916 for the 54-hole event to tie with Central Missouri. In tying for second place with the Mules, the Ichabods gained enough points to win the outright MIAA Championship edging Missouri Southern 41.5 points to 40.5 points.

The Ichabods were led by senior Derek Dultmeier who finished sixth. Freshman Matt Warnock finished 14th and Garrett Donavon finished in a tie for 15th.
Up next for the Ichabods is the regional tournament next weekend at
Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar, Mo.
