Washburn golf team finishes third at MIAA Tournament

BOLIVAR, Mo. — The Washburn Ichabod golf team finished third at the MIAA Tournament Tuesday with a 54-hole total of 929 at Silo Ridge Golf Course (Par 72). Host Southwest Baptist captured the tournament title with a 889 total, which was 22 shots better than Central Missouri State's 911.

Senior Lee Barrett (Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada) led Washburn with a 227 total, placing him in a tie for sixth individually, while sophomore Garrett Donovan (Rossville) finished in eighth at 229. Junior Derek Dultmier (Topeka) tied for 16th at 235.

Central Missouri State captured its sixth straight overall points title with 45 points this season, while Southwest Baptist finished with 38 and Missouri Southern 36. Washburn tied for fourth with Missouri Western with 29.5 points this season.
