Washburn golf team in fourth after day one of MIAA Tournament

BOLIVAR, Mo. Ñ The Washburn Ichabod golf team was in fourth place after the first day at the MIAA Golf Championship Monday with a 27-hole total of 454 at Silo Ridge Golf Course (Par 72). Host Southwest Baptist leads the tournament with a 433 total.

Senior Lee Barrett (Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada) leads Washburn with a 109 total after firing a 73 and 36 in the first 27 holes, placing him in a tie for fourth individually.

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final 27 holes of the 54-hole event.
