GOLF TEAM STARTS OUT WITH THIRD PLACE FINISH AT UMR FALL CLASSIC

The Washburn Golf team finished third in the 1999 University of Missouri-Rolla/Missouri
Cellular Fall Classic played Sept. 20-21 at the Piney Valley Golf Course
in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. The Ichabods shot a two-day total of 599.
MIAA powerhouse Central Missouri State University won the event with
a new course record 572.
Leading the Ichabods was Kirk Bath, who meddled
with a tie for seventh shooting a one over par 145. He was two strokes
back of winner Jeff Mason from CMSU who shot a 143.
The Ichabods are entered in the District V Mens
Golf Invitational in Mankato, Minn.. at the North Links Golf Course
Sept. 24-25.
