I have had the ultimate privilege for the past 33
years of doing exactly what I wanted to do in the best possible environment
at Washburn University, Marmet said. My experience of teaching
and coaching the most talented student-athletes have far exceeded my wildest
expectations and provided me with a lifetime of friendships and wonderful
memories.
I shall thoroughly miss my fellow coaches and the
athletic staff who have given me unconditional support and friendship
through all the years.
Most of all, I shall miss the unique, irreplaceable
coach/athlete relationships that make coaching one of the most rewarding
and exciting jobs one could ever have.
