Eight Lady Blues receive All-MIAA Honors, Collins Coach of the Year

The Washburn soccer team had eight players earn All-MIAA honors and Tim Collins was named MIAA Coach of the Year, which was released by the conference office Wednesday.
Senior defender Lora Westling and freshman forward Jessica Mainz were first team selections. Mainz joined Missouri Southern's Nikki Llewellyn as a unanimous first team selection.
Goalkeeper Jenna Hatlestad, midfielder Lauren Schwindt and forward Jolene Silovsky were second team picks. Defenders Lisa Fahey and Kaydi Hooker and midfielder Amanda Giest were honorable mention selections.
The Lady Blues finished 11-5-4 overall and a team-best second place finish in the MIAA at 7-3-4 in their third season of existence as a soccer program.
