MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Lady Blues got a first-half goal from sophomore forward Jessica Mainz and then held on for a 1-0 win over Northwest Missouri State Saturday afternoon to set a school record with their 12th win. Washburn, ranked 18th in the nation, improved to 12-1-2 overall and 7-1-1 in the MIAA. The Lady Blues are first in the MIAA with 22 points and a four point lead over Missouri Southern. Mainz scored an unassisted goal at 21:46 for her team-leading 10th of the year. It was also her fifth game-winner. Overall, the Lady Blues took 15 shots with 10 on goal while the Bearcats got off 10 shots and put four on goal.

Washburn goalkeeper Jenna Hatlestad made all four saves as she recorded her sixth shutout and lowered her goals allowed average to 0.58.
