Blaufuss named MIAA Player of the Week

Blaufuss, a 5-foot-10 junior from Lenexa, Kan., opened the season by
hitting .387 with two home runs and nine runs batted in as the Lady
Blues jumped out to an 8-3 start.
She was 5-for-12 with five RBI during the Central Ar-kansas
Spring Clash February 22-23. She was 2-for-3 with a solo home run against
Evangel (Mo.) and went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI against Howard
Payne (Texas). She added an RBI-single and a sacrifice fly against South-ern
Arkansas.
She drilled a second solo home run in a 3-1 win over Southeastern
Oklahoma State on March 1 at the Division II Lead-Off Classic in Irving,
Texas.
Blaufuss also was 4-for-5 with three RBI and four runs
scored in a doubleheader sweep of Bethany (Kan.) on March 6.
Blaufuss is a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High
School.
