COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Dani McHenry, who earned first team All-South Central Region honors, named to the honorable mention All-American team by the AVCA. She becomes the first Washburn player ever to earn All-American honors in volleyball. McHenry was also named to the All-MIAA first team in November.

McHenry, a 6-0 junior outside hitter from Topeka, Kan., was the only Washburn player to earn all-region honors. McHenry led the team and with 588 kills (4.26 kills/game), which was the second most in Washburn’s single season history. She also had 435 digs (3.32 digs/game) and 28 service aces, while totalling 87 blocks. She also led the team with 1230 attack attempts and hit a league-best .340. Her hitting percentage was also best in Washburn single season history.

Washburn is finished the season with a 26-10 record and a fifth place finish in the MIAA at 9-7.
