The Washburn Lady Blue volleyball team improved to 5-0 with a 30-16, 30-18, 30-17 victory over Kansas Wesleyan in their home opener Wednesday night in Lee Arena.

Dani McHenry, who earned MIAA Player of the Week honors last week, led the Lady Blues with 15 kills and only one error in 20 attempts. McHenry also led Washburn with five blocks.

Anna Neufeld had nine kills for the Lady Blues, while Emily Foster had eight kills. Alecia Barron led the team with nine digs. The Lady Blues are back in action Sept. 5-6 at the Nebraska-Omaha Tournament.
