KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The No. 19 Washburn Lady Blues fell 30-19, 30-17, 17-30, 30-20 to No. 3 Truman State in Pershing Arena Saturday. The Lady Blues fell to 14-1 and 2-1 in the MIAA, while Truman improved to 12-0 and 3-0 in the MIAA.

Truman State took control of the match by hitting .452 in game one with 21 kills and 2 errors in 42 attempts and .361 in game two with 18 kills and five errors in 36 attempts. Washburn hit just .091 in game one and .059 in game two. The Lady Blues rallied with a .316 hitting percentage in game three but couldn't make the comeback.

Emily Foster had 13 kills, while Dani McHenry and Katie Brandt added 12 and nine kills respectively.
McHenry also collected 13 digs, while Wendy Kobbeman added 12 digs. Julie Sackman had 33 assists and 10 digs. Sarah Shearman led Truman with 17 kills, while Jessica Sears added 15 kills and 20 digs.

Washburn is back in action 7 p.m. Wednesday at Missouri Southern.
