Sept. 14, 2004 - The Washburn Lady Blues volleyball team moved up five spots to No. 19 in the AVCA Division II Top 25 Poll, which was released Tuesday. The No. 19 ranking ties Washburn's highest mark in school history. The Lady Blues were ranked No. 19 in the first regular season poll last year on Sept. 2, 2003.
The Lady Blues, which are 12-0 and off to their best start in school history, open the MIAA season against Missouri Western 7 p.m. Wednesday night in Lee Arena.
