Lady Blues first in regional volleyball rankings

The Washburn volleyball team moved into first in the latest NCAA Division II South Central Region rankings released Wednesday.

Washburn was first, followed by North Alabama and MIAA squads Truman State, Central Missouri State and Emporia State.

Eight teams, including three automatic berths from the MIAA, Gulf South Conference and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as well as five at-large teams will participate in the regional Nov. 17-19 at a site to be determined.
