Nov. 15, 2000 Gassen, from Higginsville, Mo., was the leading hitter on the Lady Blues this season averaging 3.45 kills per game. She also hit a team-leading .295. Gassen also led the team in blocks with 1.2 per game. For her career, Gassen is fifth in kills with 1,271. Her 3,112 attacks is eighth on the all-time chart. Gassen has 152 solo
blocks which is third all-time and her 269 block assists is sixth all-time.
Her block total is 421, placing her in fifth on the career chart. Hanish, from Topeka, was named to the honorable mention squad for the third straight season. Hanish is leaving Washburn with her named scattered through the record books. Her 1,333 kills for her career is the fifth-highest in school history. Hanish has recorded 113 solo blocks for fifth place and her 257 block assists is seventh all-time. This season, Hanish recorded 58 aces, the third-highest single season mark in school history and 80 for her career, eighth highest on the record chart. |
