Sept. 20, 2000 The Lady Blues came up on the short end of the stick falling to rival Emporia State in five games in Emporia 10-15, 15-10, 12-15, 15-9, 15-10. The loss drops the Lady Blues to 6-5 this season and a 1-4 mark in the MIAA. All four of the conference losses for the Lady Blues have come in five-game matches. Crystal Walker led the Washburn attack with 18 kills. Becky Hanish had 13 kills and six block assists. Lindsey Kersting had 52 assists. The Lady Blues are in action again on Friday against Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kan., then they take on Missouri Southern in Joplin, Mo., on Saturday. The Lady Blues will be at home on Oct. 10. |
