Blues sweep Missouri Southern

The Washburn Lady Blues volleyball team evened their MIAA record to
5-5 with a 3-0 (15-7, 15-9, 15-1) victory over Missouri Southern in
Lee Arena Tuesday night.
The Lady Blues opened with a convincing 15-7 victory in the first game
of the match and never looked back, behind a great defensive effort
of 57 digs. The Lady Blues held Missouri Southern to a .000 hitting
percentage and only 18 kills.
Crystal Walker led the way offensively with 13 kills, while Jill Gassen
added 10 kills. Lindsey Kersting tallied 13 digs and 33 assists and
Jennifer Domzalski had 10 digs.
Washburn will travel to Arkadelphia, Ark. Thursday night to take on Henderson State University, before participating in the Henderson State tournament Friday and Saturday.
