Blues swept by Baker in Lee Arena

The Washburn volleyball squad dropped its third straight home match 30-24, 30-25, 31-29 to Baker University in Lee Arena Thursday.
Baker, guided by head coach and Topeka native Kathy Allen, came out fired up and took the match by torching the Washburn defense with 14 aces.
Trailing by as many as six points in the third game, Washburn ralied to tie at 29. Betsy Lytle hammered a kill for the Wildcats, before a Washburn error ended the match.
Topeka native Brooke Glenn led Baker with 13 kills and a .667 hitting percentage, while Susan Crooks paced Washburn with 14 kills and 12 digs.
