Blues slide continues with loss to Baker University

The Washburn Lady Blues fell to Baker University in straight games, 13-15, 7-15, 7-15 on Wednesday night.
Jill Gassen led the Lady Blues with 22 kills in 38 attacks. Also hitting the double-figure attack mark was Becky Hanish who recorded 10 kills in 24 attacks.
The Lady Blues have dropped nine straight games and seven straight matches since opening the season with a win over Texas Woman's University in the Western State College of Colorado Invitational.
This weekend, the Lady Blues will travel to Warrensburg, Mo., to take on the Central Missouri State University Jennies and go to Bolivar, Mo., to battle Southwest Baptist State University.
The Lady Blues' next home match will be Sept. 22 against MIAA foe Emporia State University.
