Oct. 20, 1999 Sophomore Jill Gassen hit .339 (55 kills, 16 errors, 115 attempts) and averaged 4.23 kills per game in 13 games as Washburn won back-to-back matches for the first time this season. Gassen hit .273 (19-7-44) and averaged 3.80 kills in a 3-2 win over Missouri Western. She also added four block assists and nine digs in the winning effort. In a 3-1 win over Southwest Baptist, gassen hit .537 (25-3-41 averaging 6.25 kiils in the match. She also had five blocks (two solos), eight digs and two aces. She had 11 kills (2.75 kpg) and three blocks (two solos) in a 3-1 loss to Truman State. |
