Blues fall in MIAA opener

The Washburn Volleyball squad was swept in their MIAA opener in St. Joseph by game scores of 15-12, 15-4, 15-2.
Leading the Lady Blues in kills was sophomore Jill Gassen who recorded eight kills in 20 attempts. Junior Becky Hanish had six kills.
With the loss, the Lady Blues fall to 1-5 on the season and will take on Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo. on Saturday.
