Blues put up fight, fall to Northwest Missouri in 4 games

The Lady Blues came out strong against Northwest Missouri, but fell to the Bearcats in four games with scores of 10-15, 15-5, 15-1, 16-14.
The Lady Blues hit at a .360 clip knocking down 14 kills in 25 attemps with only five errors, compared to the Bearcats' .083 hitting percentage.
Washburn was led by Becky Hanish and Jill Gassen with 10 kills apiece. Sandi Mullikin had 19 assists and Nicole Nantz came off the bench to record 10.
The Lady Blues will be in action this weekend at the Lady Reddie Invitational, hosted by Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark.
