Blues pick up first winning streak of the season

The Washburn Lady Blues, behind some strong offense, gained some revenge from a midseason loss to Southwest Baptist by topping the Bearcats 15-2, 13-15, 16-14, 15-12.
The Lady Blues (6-18, 4-5 MIAA) had 71 kills in the four game match. Jill Gassen led a quartet of Lady Blues with double-digit kills. Gassen recorded 25 kills with three errors in 41 attempts for a stellar .537 hitting percentage. Also in double figure kills were Becky Hanish with 13 kills and only one error in 28 attempts. Katie Bowe and Jennifer Domzalski each had 12 kills.
Sandi Mullikin dished out 19 assists and Arica Chaffee had 11 digs.
