KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The No. 13 Washburn Lady Blues tied a school record en route to an 89-46 win at Rockhurst in Mason-Halpin Fieldhouse Tuesday night.

The win was Washburn's largest in the all-time series againt Rockhurst (WU won 83-53 in 1982-83) and was the 15th straight non-conference regular season win for the squad.

Washburn, which set a school record with 12 3-pointers as a team Saturday night, followed with another 12 3-pointers in 26 attempts. The Lady Blues hit 9 of 14 treys in the first half.

Rockhurst trailed 11-8, before Washburn pulled away in the middle of the opening half. The Lady Blues went on an 18-0 run to make it 29-8 with 8:39 left in the first half, capped by Carla Sintra's layup after Lora Westling hit two straight 3-pointers.

Alison Garrett hit Washburn's ninth trey with 15 seconds left in the half, giving Washburn a 51-29 lead at the break.

Washburn cruised in the second half after opening with a 15-4 run to make it 61-32. Dani McHenry made six straight free throws to give the Lady Blues the 43-point win.

Westling led Washburn with 16 points, while Sintra added 12 points and eight rebounds. Erin Menard came off the bench with double figures for the second straight game by scoring 15 points. Menard hit four three and had three assists without a turnover. April Roadhouse had a career-high seven assists.

Washburn, which improved to 4-0 for the third straight season, owned the boards with a 51-30 rebounding edge. The Lady Blues have outscored opponents 87.8-47.2 (+40.6) and outrebounded opponents 48.0-26.5 (+21.5) this season.

The Lady Blues are back in action 3 p.m. Saturday in Lee Arena against Baker University.
