TOPEKA - The No. 13 Washburn Lady Blues topped NAIA foe Saint Mary 106-38 in Lee Arena Saturday night by hitting a school record 12 3-pointers as a team.

It was also the first time in 360 games that the Lady Blues scored 100 points. Washburn defeated Missouri-St. Louis 120-86 on Feb. 23, 1991.

Washburn opened with a 17-2 lead and never looked back in the first half, using 17 points by Lora Westling to take a 56-16 lead at the break. Westling connected on all five of her 3-point attempts in the opening half. She finished with 19 points in the game.

Erin Menard scored 13 of her 18 points in the second half, helping WU outscore St. Mary 50-22. Menard hit 4 of 6 3-pointers for the game.

Montoya Whitfield had 15 points, while Alison Garrett added 10 points. Carla Sintra had nine points and nine rebounds.
