The Washburn Lady Blues fell to No. 13 in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Division II Top 25 Poll, which was released by the WBCA Tuesday. The Lady Blues were No. 11 in the previous WBCA National Poll on March 2.

Washburn fell 76-68 to Northwest Missouri State in the Sonic MIAA Tournament semifinals Saturday. The Lady Blues, who earned an at-large bid as the No. 5 seed in the South Central Tournament, are back in action 8 p.m. Friday with a rematch against No. 4 seeded Bearcats at Weiser Gymnasium (Drury Univesity campus) in Springfield, Mo.

All of the eight teams in the South Central Region are ranked or received votes in this week’s national poll. Tournament host Drury (2), Emporia State (8), Washburn (13), Northwest Missouri State (17), Angelo State (18) and West Texas A&M (23) were ranked. Missouri Western received 13 votes and Northeastern State received four votes for the poll.
