Blues fall to Jennies 60-45

The Washburn Lady Blues jumped out to a fast start over
the Central Missouri State University Jennies but went cold from the
field to end the first half and fell 60-45.
Washburn (12-12, 5-10 MIAA) would lead by as many as nine
points in the first half at 17-8, but a 22-7 run by the Jennies (17-6,
10-5 MIAA) including the final six points would put CMSU up for good
at 30-24.
In the second half, the Lady Blues would get no closer
than eight, struggling from the field hiting 7 of 23 shots while the
Jennies hit 12 of 23 shots.
Leading the Lady Blues was Kristy Chapman who score 20
points. In the first meeting against CMSU, Chapman recorded her career
high 22 points. Jennifer Butcher tied a career high with 14 rebounds.
