Lady Blues shooting woes continue in 69-58 loss

The Lady Blues' shooting problems continued in their 69-58 loss to Northwest Missouri.

The Lady Blues hit only 7 of 25 shots in the first half and 12 of 28 in the second to finish 19 of 53 for the game and 36 percent. The loss dropped Washburn to 8-8 and 2-6 in the MIAA.

The Bearcats forced 24 Lady Blue turnovers.

Sharina Watkins led the Lady Blues with a career high 12 points. She was 2 of 11 from the field including 2 of 6 from 3-point range and 6 of 7 from the free throw line. Crystal Walker scored 10 points and pulled down five rebounds despite running into foul trouble and playing only 15 minutes.

The Lady Blues will take on Missouri-Rolla at 5:30 in Lee Arena on Saturday.
