The Lady Blues fell to Pittsburg State 73-54 at John
Lance Arena on Saturday dropping its record to 7-6 and 1-4.
The Lady Blues struggled from the field for the second
straight game shooting 35 percent hitting 20 of 56 field goal attempts
and 3 of 8 from behind the arc. Washburn trailed by as many as 14 in
the first half. In the second half, the Lady Blues could get no closer
than 11.
Crystal Walker scored 12 points to lead the Lady Blues
and Jovanae St. Cyr pulled down 7 rebounds to pace Washburn. Natalie
Stahl came off the bench for the Gorillas to score a game-high 25 points.
The Lady Blues will now have five of their next six games
at home in Lee Arena starting on Wednesday with Central Missouri State.
The Jennies are 11-2 this season and 4-1 in the MIAA.
