The Washburn Lady Blues coasted to a 92-50 victory over Baker University Tuesday night in Lee Arena.

The Lady Blues got off to another quick start, taking a 13-2 lead on Carissa Goeglein's layup just four minutes into the game. Goeglein later followed with eight straight points for Washburn and finished the opening half with 15 to help WU to a 50-24 lead.

The Lady Blues continued a torrid pace with a 9-0 run capped by Kristy Chapman's 3-pointer to take a 35-point lead with 17:25 left.

Goeglein led the Lady Blues with 19 points on 8 of 10 shooting from the field. Chapman finished with 14 points, Crystal Walker added 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Gosia Czarnecka came off the bench with 10 points with her second straight 4-for-4 field shooting performance.

Washburn is back in action Friday at 3 p.m. against Bemidji (Minn.) State in the Nebraska-Kearney Thanksgiving Tournament. Fans can catch all the action with Ron Simon and Curtis Kitchen on 99.3 FM (KWIC) beginning at 2:40 p.m.
