TOPEKA — The Washburn Lady Blues topped Saint Mary College 81-43 in Lee Arena Monday night to improve to 2-0 on the season.

The Lady Blues got it going early, taking a 8-0 lead on Ineke Ingram's layup with 15 minutes to go in the first half.

After taking a 33-20 lead at the half, the Lady Blues converted Saint Mary turnovers to points and increased the lead to 63-30 on Bethany McGraw's fourth 3-pointer of the game and cruised to victory.

McGraw finished with a career-high 16 points, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range. Carissa Goeglein and Crystal Walker each added 10 points. The Lady Blues converted 36 turnovers into 38 points in the game.

Washburn is back in action 8 p.m. Friday night at the Drury Lady Panther Classic facing host Drury College in Springfield, Mo.
