Washburn women's basketball coach Ron McHenry has announced that Spring Hill High School standout Megan Sullivan will join the Lady Blues next season. Sullivan, a 6-1 center from Spring Hill, Kan., averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds a game as a high school senior last season.

"Megan has good size and is very athletic. She should be able to adapt very quickly to the college game," said Washburn head coach Ron McHenry. "Megan played the post position in high school but will play power forward in college."

Sullivan earned all-league honors each of her four seasons and was a second team Class 4A All--State selection by the Topeka Capital Journal her junior and senior seasons. She also earned academic all-state honors in 2003 and was an all-league selection in volleyball.
