TOPEKA — The No. 7 Washburn Lady Blues were dominant on both ends of the floor in their 79-42 win over Missouri-Rolla in Lee Arena Saturday afternoon.

The win was also Washburn's largest MIAA win since Feb. 13, 1999, when the Lady Blues won 90-52 at Missouri-Rolla.

Washburn had an early 14-2 run and used another run to extend the lead late in the first half. Alison Garrett's jumper capped a 13-0 run to make it 39-16 with 1:26 left in the first half. The Lady Blues finished with a 44-18 lead at the half.

The Lady Miners couldn' t get within 24 in the second half, while Washburn had another run of 11-0 and took its biggest lead at 74-32 with 6:45 left on Dan McHenry's second straight layup.
