The Washburn Lady Blues used an early hot-shooting performance to roll to an 82-58 victory over Truman State in Lee Arena Saturday night.

After Truman took an early lead, the Lady Blues responded with a 9-0 run and a capped a 10-0 run to take a 28-14 lead on Bethany McGraw's baseline jumper with 7:14 left in the first half.

Washburn finished the first half 19-of-33 (57.6%) from the field, including 6-of-12 3-point baskets to go ahead 49-30.

Washburn led by as many as 30 in the second half and finished the game 35-of-66 (53.0%) from the field. Carissa Goeglein led the Lady Blues for the second straight game offensively with 17 points. Kristy Chapman added 13, Latasha Moore had a career-high 12 and Maggie Diehl added 10 off the bench.

Washburn is back in action in an important MIAA matchup Monday night 5:30 at Missouri Southern. The Lady Blues are No. 5 in the South Central Region, while the Lady Lions are No. 8 in the region.
