Lady
Blues assistant coach Reggie Hulbert stepping down
Aug. 20, 2001
Lady Blues basketball head coach Ron McHenry has announced
that Reggie Hulbert has resigned as assistant coach. Hulbert spent one
season on the bench for the Lady Blues.
Hulbert is returning to his previous employer.
I worked in an industry that afforded many chances
for advancement, Hulbert said. I now have an opportunity
to go back into that industry. At this stage of my professional career,
I believe this is the right choice for me.
Hulbert was a two-year member of the Ichabods basketball
team during the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons. His senior year he started
32 games earning second team all-MIAA honors and teams most valuable
player award.
Hes going to be missed, said McHenry.
He did an excellent job while he was here and played a key role
in this years recruiting class.
Hulbert spent the season guiding Cair Paravel High School
in Topeka before joining the Lady Blues. He has compiled a 22-3 record
in one season as their head coach.
A search to fill the assistant coaching position will
start immediately.
