Lady Blues No. 1 in first regular season coaches poll

TOPEKA -- The Washburn Lady Blues basketball team retained its position as the No. 1 team in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll that was released today. The Lady Blues, who received 18 first place votes in the preseason poll from Nov. 8, received 22 first place votes in the poll that was released today.
The Lady Blues are 6-0 this season and will open MIAA play on Saturday, Dec. 10 against Central Missouri, who is No. 19 in today's poll.
