Ubelaker, Stiger receive Kodak
All-American honorable mention honors

KEARNEY, Neb. - Washburn Lady Blues senior Brooke Ubelaker and junior Corkey Stiger were named honorable mention All-America on the Kodak/WBCA team which was announced at a banquet before the start of the 2007 NCAA Division II Elite Eight. The Lady Blues finished the season with a 29-4 and their third straight Sweet 16 appearance and fourth regional final in the last five seasons.
Ubelaker led the Lady Blues with
15.4 points per game while leading the MIAA in 3-pointers with 92 breaking her own school record of 71 set as a junior. She finished her career with 1,848 points, which is third on the Washburn all-time chart and her 739 career rebounds are fifth all-time. She started every game in her Lady Blues career - more games than any other Lady Blue in school or MIAAA history with 134 career starts. She holds three school career records. Ubelaker was named to the first team Daktronics All-Region team which was announced earlier this season.
Stiger, in her first season at Washburn, was second on the team in scoring with a 13.4 points per game average. She led the Lady Blues in steals with 69, including a school-record eight against Truman. Stiger finished second on the team with 103 assists.
