ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Washburn Lady Blues won their fifth place match at the MIAA Tennis Championships with a 5-1 win over Truman. The Lady Blues swept through the doubles competition and Jennifer Keiner and Allie Gardner each won their singles matches at No. 1 and No. 5 respectively to close out the match. The Lady Blues will find out on Tuesday where they will play in the upcoming NCAA North Central Regional.
Saturday's action
The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team will face Truman in the fifth place
match at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph. The Lady Blues fell to Missouri Southern
in the opener 5-3. The Lady Blues won two of the three doubles matches,
but dropped four singles flights with only Audrie Miller winning at No.
3 singles. Washburn moved on to the fifth place match by blanking
Missouri Western 5-0
