The Washburn Lady Blues’ season will continue into the NCAA Postseason as they will play host to three other teams from May 4-5. The winner of the event will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament in Pensacola, Fla May 10-13.

The Lady Blues (21-2) are the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 2 seed Eastern New Mexico (9-7). The match will start on May 4 at 1 p.m. at the Washburn Tennis Complex.

The No. 1 seed is Ferris State (21-5). They will take on No. 4 seed Northern Michigan (15-8) at 9 a.m. on May 4. The winners of each semifinal match will play on May 5 at 9 a.m. with the winner advancing to the national 16-team tournament.

The Lady Blues are one of three MIAA teams selected for postseason. Northwest Missouri is the No. 3 seed at the Cameron University site and Missouri Southern is the No. 4 seed at the Northeastern State (Okla.) site.
