Lady Blues Tennis Team Ranked
In Final Polls of 1999

The Washburn Lady Blues Tennis team has been ranked in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association Coaches Midwest and National Polls.

The Lady Blues finished with a final ranking of ninth in the Midwest Region, finishing as the highest ranked MIAA school ahead of Truman State (10th), Northwest Missouri State (11th), Missouri Southern (13th) and Missouri Western (18th).

The Lady Blues No. 1 singles player, sophomore Marissa Moment, was individually ranked as the 11th best player in the Midwest Region. Moment was the No. 1 singles champion at the MIAA Tournament this spring and No. 2 singles champion the previous season.

The Lady Blues finished in the national rankings 36th.

This season, the Lady Blues finished with a 20-4 record and made an appearacnce in the NCAA Midwest Regional.
