MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for tennis announced
(May 10) OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues and Ichabod tennis teams had three placed on the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll that was announced today. Lady Blues senior Caitlin Day (history), Julie Huyberechts (art) and Ichabod junior Tyler Kinder (mathematics). Student-athletes are named to the list under the following criteria: 1.) The student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; 2.) The student-athlete must have at least two terms of attendance at the member school, excluding summer sessions; 3.) The student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior in athletic eligibility; 4.) Student-athletes inactive due to redshirt or hardship qualification are not eligible.

Lady Blues tennis season ends with loss to Mavericks
(May 7) TOPEKA -- The Washburn Lady Blues season came to an end with a 5-2 loss to Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday at the Washburn Tennis Complex. Lady Blues honored on all-MIAA tennis squad
(April 26) OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues, who will find out their regional placements later Wednesday afternoon, placed only one Lady Blues on the first team all-MIAA team and only one on the all-MIAA second team. Sophomore Julie Huyberechts was voted to the first team by the MIAA coaches and senior Kris Castillo received second team honors at No. 6 singles. The Lady Blues (20-4), who finished second at the MIAA Tournament, will likely host an NCAA North Central Regional pod May 6-7.

Lady Blues top Johnson County in tennis

(April 13) MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Washburn Lady Blues topped No. 37 ranked Northwest Missouri 5-4 Tuesday on the road. With the win, the Lady Blues moved to 14-2 on the season. Lady Blues pick up pair of MIAA wins over the weekend

(Oct. 2) TOPEKA - Washburn's Caitlin Day fell 6-1, 6-0 to Northwest Missouri State's Gena Lindsay, while Jennifer Keiner fell 6-2, 6-3 to Colorado State-Pueblo's Kindi Vaughan. Lady Blues, Ichabod tennis teams adds signees (May 19)

Washburn head tennis coach Jennifer Hastert has announced the signing of two Ichabod and two Lady Blues netters who will join the teams in the fall. The Lady Blues are coming off their first MIAA Title since 2000 and the Ichabods fell in the championship match of the MIAA Tournament. Both teams just returned from the NCAA National Tournament in Orlando, Florida which the teams reached the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history.
